What really makes you tick?

Are you doing that thing… or those things?

If not, why not?

If you sit in the reality of this moment and let it all sink in, maybe you’ll hear the symphony of the creative power that wove you together as a masterpiece.

No other human… no other human… possesses what you have to give.

As I say these things to you, I’m saying them to myself, too.

It’s so easy to lose our way… and give in to all the pressures that we face every day.

Kindness.

I love this word.

Cause it’s everything.

Be kind to yourself.

When faced with raging fear inside… the fear you aren’t enough… or that you’ve made a mistake and it’s all over… or that you’re lost for good…

Know, if you so choose… a new beginning can begin right this second.

So, what makes you tick? What makes you smile?

Do you feel you deserve the chance to pursue these things?

What would life look like if you did pursue them? Would you breathe easier?

To answer these questions truthfully it’s so important to set time aside.

Be in nature. Listen to the birds sing. Turn the TV off… read… watch a candle flickering in the dark.

Connecting with the creative force… the universe… God… whatever you want to call it… requires that we just stop.

It asks for kindness… softness… surrender…

In the womb, most of us were given near 9 months of nurturing. Enveloped in warmth… provided nutrients without trying… our talents were being encoded… and when we entered the world our gifts began appearing.

Then, maybe they were hijacked along the way… by beings who don’t understand… self-imposed limitations may have sprouted.

But, now in silence… meditation… prayer… it’s possible to reconnect and reclaim the gifts that belong wholly to you… or me.

It all begins now.
